A few DES K-Kids members joined the Davis Kiwanis meeting on October 2nd. The K-Kids led the group in the flag salute and shared an update on the community service projects they have participated in so far this year. Colt Fore, Emma Smith, Isaac Tabor, and Asher Idleman represented K-Kids and Davis Elementary like the awesome leaders they are!🐾🐺 #weareDES #kkids





Several of Mrs. Swenson's first grade students earned the reward of spinning the prize wheel for reaching their first AR goal of 5 points by October 1st. Millie Chaffin, Bransen Eaves, Lane Harrison, Rostyn Harrison, Harper Powell, Sawyer Powell and Abel Prater all won prizes for their hard work. In addition, all of these students were also entered into a drawing for a bonus prize. Lane Harrison was the lucky winner of the book The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds. #WeAreDES #readersareleaders







Davis Elementary is excited to participate in the Homecoming Spirit Week Theme Days! The scheduled theme day for Monday will be different for the elementary, but the rest of the week, we will follow the regularly scheduled theme days! #WeAreDES #homecoming2024


CONGRATULATIONS to the Middle School Art Chalk team who won 1st place at the ECU Chalk festival on Monday! Members of the team are Alice Wakefield, Violet Vogt, Katelyn Summers, Tabitha Phipps ,Nevaeh Sampson, Keara Cox, Liberty Cheatham, and Brianna Bristow.

Mr. Martinez' 8th Grade English Classes gave presentations over short stories they have studied in class. Teamwork, composure, eye contact, and speech were some of the items on the grading rubric. They all did such a great job with it!


Ms. Mynhier's 7th Grade Science Classes did experiment stations to learn about changes of state. Hands on learning is the BEST! So much fun!







A great big thank you to Pathway Church who hosted our Middle School See You at the Pole Event last week. We had a great turnout and fun fellowship was had by all!


The Middle School Academic Team did a great job at their meet last week! Thank you to Mr. Martinez for reading the questions and moderating the event! Mrs. Hawk and team have done a great job preparing and practicing! Good luck during the rest of the season!





Congratulations to The Pride of the Arbuckles! They won the day on Saturday! 2 contests and 3 performances; each better than the one before! They made it to finals at Tigerpalooza in Ada and finished 9th overall. They were also 2nd in their class at Holdenville.

The MS Cookie Dough Fundraiser is wrapping up. All orders and money need to be turned in by this Thursday. Thank you for supporting our middle school students!


Tomorrow is School Picture Day for elementary and 6th through 11th grade! These students will have their photo taken for the yearbook. Seniors and 5th grade will be at a later date. Order packets were sent home, but extras can be picked up in respective offices.


No Cost Flu Vaccines will be available for students on October 4th from 9am - noon. Consent forms must be completed, signed, and returned by October 2nd in order for students to receive a flu shot.


The new Casey's store is open and they are here for Davis! To celebrate their grand opening, they donated $500 to DMS. We are excited about this partnership! #SchoolCommunityCollaboration
